A Sample Prayer for You

Father, I thank You for sending Your son to die for me and because I confessed with my mouth that Jesus is Lord, my name is written in the Book of Life. I pray that you would increase my knowledge on how to use the gifts You have given me to glorify You and love others. Fill me with the knowledge of Your will, wisdom, revelation and spiritual understanding. Open my eyes to the mysteries of the Bible, that I may walk worthy of the calling, fully pleasing You and being fruitful in every work I do. Reveal to me what knowledge I am lacking to live according to Your will.

Strengthen me with all might and power to live a fearless and bold life. Help me understand what it means to walk into these promises of power, love, a sound mind, peace, joy, contentment. Help me recognize that these promises are mine for the taking if I just take it by faith because I am Your child. Father, I repent for not putting You first in every area of my life and for all the sins I have committed against You. From this day on I will put You first in everything I do, in every area of my life.

God, I know nothing but good things come from spending time with you, so show me what things I can cut out and shorten to have personal, quiet time with You. Send people who are like-minded and full of the Holy Spirit who can help me grow and I do the same as iron sharpens iron. Teach me how to keep a tight reign over my mouth, so that my conversation is full of grace and seasoned with salt.

Father, I rejoice when it’s good and when it’s bad. I will be anxious for nothing and lean not to my own understanding because You are my protector, provider, salvation, and I am not. Thank you that the same spirit that You worked in Christ when You raised Him from the dead is the same power that lives inside of me. Thank You for the exceeding mercy and grace toward me. Without you, I am nothing, but with You I am everything.

In Jesus Name, Amen.
