Push Yourself

Scripture Reading: Matthew 25:14-30

God has entrusted you with a particular purpose according to your ability. No, it will not be fulfilled perfectly or painlessly. But, with faith and consistency, it will be worth it. The world is waiting earnestly for you to just be you.

“I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.” (Romans 8:18-19 NIV)

Like any good father, God will not continue to bless us with substantial and superior favor if He can’t trust us with what He’s already given. So even when we feel uninspired, unavailable and overworked, we must stick with it. We have no idea what we’re capable of unless we push ourselves and put in our maximum effort. God will continue to give us greater desire, greater opportunity and greater effectiveness.

“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.” (Luke 16:10 NIV)

Are you hiding your gift or working your gift? How can you regularly exercise your gift? What outlet and time has God given you to practice? What can you do to push yourself more?
