Living for Christ
There are over 7.5 billion people in the world. There is one you. There is a call on your life that only you can answer. Seasonless areas are waiting for your matchless flavor (Matthew 5:13). Gloomy places are waiting for your vibrant light (Matthew 5:14-15). Musty spaces are waiting for your sweet fragrance (2 Corinthians 2:14-15).
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:10 NIV)
As we go out and do these good works, both publically and privately, not everyone will applaud, not everyone will affirm, not everyone will admire. But, if we work as if we are working for Christ, we won’t need validation from anyone but Him.
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” (Colossians 3:23-24 NIV)
As we live and serve for God, He will become the loudest voice in our hearts and minds. We will look to Him for truth. We will seek His approval. We will find strength in Him. We will lean on Him first for our comfort. This total dependence on God is where we thrive, where we encounter miracles, where lasting fulfillment resides and where joy remains.
“You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” (Psalm 16:11 ESV)
