“Yet you, Lord, are our Father.
We are the clay, you are the potter;
we are all the work of your hand.” (Isaiah 64:8 NIV)
You were created on purpose for a purpose. We are vessels to get God’s will out, and how beautiful and miraculous it is that He would choose us specifically to carry out His plan? God knew we were imperfect when He formed each of us in our mother’s womb, but even with all the imperfections, we are called to bring light to a corner of His world.
“‘You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.
You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.’” (Matthew 5:13-16 NIV)
If no one is rooting for you, God is rooting for you. If no one thinks you can do it, God knows you can do it. If anyone thinks you’re unqualified, God has qualified you.
I want to invite you to reflect on what God is calling you to do. If you don’t know what God is calling you to do, or where He is calling you to do it, spend some time in prayer asking Him to reveal it to you.
