Jesus Is For You Too
I just want to pause for a second and present the Gospel (the good news of God) to those who have never accepted Jesus, and to those who believe in God, but are not 100% sure they are going to heaven at the end of this life.
God loves you so much and wants to have a relationship with you, but when sin entered the world it created a separation between us and God. Being a sinner just means we have a habit of doing what God says not to do or not doing what He says to do. And because there is no way to earn a relationship with God or to earn salvation (forgiveness of sins and the gift of an eternity in heaven), God sent Christ to die as the perfect sacrifice for our sins.
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8 NIV
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16 NIV
Through Christ’s life, death and resurrection we now have a secure relationship with God that can’t be broke and a 100% secure eternity in heaven. Remember, this is not through our works or always being kind or always doing the right thing, but through faith (believing) in God alone. Salvation is a free gift (grace).
‘If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.’ ‘For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.’
Romans 10:9,13 NKJV
If you want a relationship with God through accepting Jesus into your life, you can pray this simple prayer:
I understand that I am a sinner in need of a savior. Jesus, I repent of my sins and I accept You as my personal Lord and Savior. I invite You to come into my life, and I understand that it is only through You that I have eternal life. In your son Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
