We’re Victorious
Scripture reading: Daniel 6
Just as the enemy will send people to distract, dismantle and disapprove our purpose, God will lead people to encourage, enhance and enjoy our purpose.
For context, let’s look at Daniel’s story.
Because Daniel found favor in the eyes of God and men (Proverbs 3:4), the enemy planted envy in those Daniel ruled with and those he ruled over. As envy took root, these men decided to put in place an elaborate plan to find fault in Daniel and send him to the lions’ den. But the enemy lost again. Not only did God send His angel to close the mouths of the lions, but He also received the glory and Daniel was avenged.
Time after time, the Bible recounts stories of situations the enemy meant for evil, but God meant for good (Genesis 50:20). We have victory over every situation in our lives.
This is Daniel’s story. This is Joseph’s story. This is Jesus’ story. This is our story.
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified. What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:28-31 NIV)
