Recently, I’ve been thinking about how to put action behind how thankful I am for all God has done in my life. But, the more I think about it, God is definitely the Father that already has everything. So, what could I possibly give? And then it occurred to me. My life is the only thing worthy of giving to God. Just like He sacrificed His life for me, I can allow my life to be a living sacrifice for Him.
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God —this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is — his good, pleasing and perfect will.” (Romans 12:1-2 NIV)
For me, giving my life to God means my life is a reflection of the gratitude and love I have for Him. Of course, this isn’t done perfectly. But, this is my intention.
How can your life reflect your gratitude for God today?
