With Age Comes Wisdom

Recently, I’ve been thinking more about how fast time is passing, and that can only mean one thing – I’m getting older. But, the more I think about my younger years, the more I can’t help but welcome the growing amount of wisdom, knowledge and understanding that comes with age.

“When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.” (1 Corinthians 13:11 NKJV)

I hope we can look back over our lives and not wallow in the fact that our bodies are aging, but rejoice that our minds are sharpening, our spirits are maturing and our wisdom is increasing.

“Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.” (2 Corinthians 4:16 NIV)
